Anhydrosis
OSMO PLEX
I cannot recommend Equitec products enough!
My lovely mare, Glencoe Catwalk, suffers with Anhydrosis. This is a horrible condition suffered by many horses in humid climates where there sweat glands close up, and they cannot get rid of excess heat. I tried many different products on the market, with no success. I was recommended an electrolyte mix called OSMO PLEX by Equitec's sponsored rider, Lindal Binch.
Within 3 weeks, the mare was sweating again!
With this amazing success, I enquired about other Equitec products.
Mental Breakdown or Mental Conditions
PLACID REIN
I have a highly sensitive FEI horse, called Glencoe Manhattan, which had suffered a horrible training accident in January 2005 due to a mental breakdown. His return to FEI work and competition was a very fragile battle. Equitec's product "PLACID REIN" is an amazing product for fragile and tense horses.
With the help of PLACID REIN, I have managed to bring Milo back to the FEI level and he has been re-selected on the 2008 QLD State Dressage Squad.
I highly recommend Equitec Products for all horse health and recovery.

Mental Conditions
PLACID REIN
In November 2001 my 9y0 thoroughbred gelding Seal competed at the Adelaide International Horse Trials in the three star class. Overcome by the atmosphere he jumped out of the arena causing elimination. This extremely bad behaviour put Seal's future at the top level of eventing in doubt.
After trialling some products on the market to help with Seal's competition day nerves I had problems finding one that he would eat and didn't swab and worked.
I came across Equine Equitec's PLACID REIN and started using it in the lead up to the Sydney International Horse Trials in April 2003. I was sure there was a good response to the product but the test came at the dressage day. Seal's dressage was his best performance and he completed all movements quietly. Seal won the event and is now on the Australian National A list.
I can recommend this product with these great results to any one. I now also use PLACID REIN on other less extreme cases to improve their performance too. The product is the best of its kind on the market without a doubt.

Nervousness and Inability To Maintan Weight
PLACID REIN and GTP
I have a 12yr old TB gelding, Brockie, which I currently compete at Medium level Dressage. Since retiring from racing at 5yrs old Brockie has always been a very nervous and temperamental horse with an inconsistent performance record. It has also been difficult to gain and maintain weight as he overreacts by becoming hotter to many normal feeds and additives.
Over the years I have tried many of the usual solutions to his nervousness including changes of diet, handling and training regimes and feed additives. The latter ranged from Rescue Remedy to Vitamin B mixes and Tryptophan. Some did calm him down but made him wooden and stiff.
In August last year, in desperation, I contacted my vet and said unless I could find a solution I would have to stop competing Brockie. He put me in touch with Equitec and I started him on a new regime. The onslaught of the Equine flu and the lack off competitions also gave me the opportunity to change his diet to the one recommended by Ken from Equitec.
We initially gave Brockie a course of CLEAN CULTURE to clear his system and then I started a course of PLACID REIN and GTP. Six months on I have a different horse, he looks marvellous on half the amount of feed he had before and his performance and consistency has improved out of sight.
In the past a trail ride was an endurance test of nerves (both his and consequently mine), now I have a horse I can use to lead my 8yr old daughter, with her three months riding experience, out on a trail ride and who gives me consistently improving performance.
We had our first outing since the EI last week to a Club Training day; this was the real test as I always had to be prepared to throw away my first test of the day until he (hopefully ) settled. This time he started calm, remained calm and scored very well in both tests. In short he was a pleasure to ride.
During the last six months I have at times taken him off the PLACID REIN but have always noticed a marked difference in his attitude and work. When I reinstate it his performance improves so I attribute the positive results to the PLACID REIN not other variants.
I will continue to work with Equitec to support my other horses' needs and believe they provide genuine and unique knowledge and product.

Joint Management and Soreness
PRO FLEX
I am a professional Equestrian rider and coach. For some years I have trained and competed at the highest level of Three Day Eventing, the most demanding of the Olympic discliplines. The average horse will compete at this level for around 5 years and is exposed to an enormous amount of stress on the joints and ligaments. A typical Advanced level 3DE is run at 550m per minute for 8 minutes plus negotiate fences (up to 40 jumping efforts) to a height of 1.20m.
There are several options available with regards to joint management. I have used these with some success but have found that by far and away the most effective solution is PRO FLEX (Equitec). I have in particular a 13 year old gelding with poor conformation (but a big heart) who feels stiff and sore when not being fed PRO FLEX. As soon as he is on it he feels like a 2 year old again. He gallops better and is much happier jumping. He was close to retirement before trying PRO FLEX (having been on other joint products for some years), now he has a new lease of life. I cannot speak highly enough of this product, I now have all of my horses on it. In a sport as tough on horse's legs as mine, I need that something extra to give me the edge.

Ligament Operation Recovery
PRO FLEX
I would like to congratulate you on your product PRO FLEX. I have used it on both my horses with remarkable and noticeable results. Ticky is 16 months and was put on PRO FLEX six weeks prior to a check ligament operation. His recover time was halved and was allowed home days earlier than expected. The vet and nurses remarked at how quickly he had healed. I am now using it on my six year old riding pony show horse who was definitely noticing that the ground is now like concrete. Since putting him on PRO FLEX his movement has become more suspended and soft. The only thing I have changed is the PRO FLEX. Now that the climate has changed and we seem to be in constant drought the need for products such as this have become necessary for every day riding. I find it the most economical on the market and would like to thank you again for such a great product.

Arthrosis
PRO FLEX
A little under a year ago we noticed that our four year old warmblood mare wasn't moving the way that she normally did. We decided to try acupuncture. During treatment the practitioner commented, “Her neck is very sore. Has your mare run through a fence? We said "No, absolutely not.” She had just had 3 weeks off, because she had been going so well.
A subsequent x-ray found particles of bone around the articular facets C4, C5 and C6. As this is usually considered to be the first signs of arthrosis, we thought it imperative we act quickly to avoid any further injury or discomfort.
As we were already existing Equitec customers, we made the decision to give Ken Ford the call and see if there was anything else we could be doing to get our mare back on track.
Following a discussion with their associate vet our horse was put on Equitec's Joint food Pro-Flex. We also used laser light therapy for a month just to speed the healing process up. Little did we know how quickly we would notice the results.
After just 7 months on Pro-Flex and only one month of laser light therapy her range of movement and comfort levels went through the roof. We could not have been happier, all-be-it a little surprised given that we thought she would be out of action for at least one year.
We decided to fast track the next x-ray only to find out that that all previous indications of injury were gone. The joints were all realigned with absolutely zero sign of swelling or calcification. It was as if there had never even been an injury. The Vet was amazed and we did not know whether to laugh or cry.
She is now back under saddle and working as hard as ever. We have kept her on the Pro-flex and I have no doubt that this has played a major part in her remarkable recovery.
We cannot thank Ken and the team at Equitec Performance Products enough for the help and support they have provided.
We would recommend Equitec's total health plan to anybody who wants to get the best out of their horse or to anyone who simply wants to see their horse healthy and happy.

PRO FLEX, OSMO PLEX, PLACID REIN, CLEAN CULTURE
I have been using these supplements on both of my horses for the past year and a half and they are truly remarkable. When I first acquired my thoroughbred 2 and a half years ago he was neglected, terribly thin and with hooves he could barely stand on. This 6yr old horse had the mentality of a 2hyr old. He was nervous, scared and tried to kill the farrier. As he gained weight and confidence it became very clear that he was lame and showing no signs of improvement. To make a really long story shorter he had been raced and had a terrible tumble on the track. The kind where head meets tail. On top of all the muscle injury, we discovered he has arthritis in both hocks. This horse had the movement of an echidna. No over track imaginable, stiff and locked up in every muscle, every joint. He never ran around or played as a two year old should. I can't remember how I got onto Equitec. The first product I placed him on was Pro-Flex and after 3 months I started to see leaps and bounds of improvement in his way of going and sure signs of not feeling pain. I started to ride him and was gleefully happy that my ugly duckling was finally turning into a swan!
Then came the colic, (the hospital kind) that nearly killed him and sent us broke. So here we learnt that his water intake was 9ltrs in 24 hours when it should be 30+. So on the Osmo-Plex he went and he is drinking normally and his skin's lost that dry prune feel. How guilty did I fell about not picking that one up sooner! I guess he was dealing with it until the extra work was asked of him and then his water intake became crucial.
Around the same time my 25 year old mare wasn't losing her winter coat ands we were in the middle of 34 degree heat. So on the Osmo-Plex she went and yep, off came the winter coat just in time for the new winter coat to grow through. I have taken her off the Osmo-Plex a few times since and within a month she starts to grow a coat regardless of what season we are in. She too is on Pro-Flex to help with her old age, arthritis and tendon problems. She was only ridden two times a week in walk and still came up sore. The Pro Flex can't fix her but let me say she has not been unsound since and my daughter riders her four times a week at all paces.
Thanks to colic we also discovered that my boy had a low blood count. Which kept going lower, I tried herbs and all sorts and nothing worked. He was bleeding internally somewhere. So more Equitec - this time Clean Culture which his like a pro-biotic. After a five week course his bloods had improved along with his zest for life. He was hooning around the paddock and bucking me off. So on the Placid Rein he went and is staying on it till he's at least 25. No more naughtiness.
I think that if these supplements had been around 20yrs ago my mare would not have arthritis or tendon issues today. In my opinion every horse who is ridden should be on Pro-Flex as a preventative measure.
I cannot say enough good things about the man who has put so much time, passion and devotion into these all natural supplements which in my opinion have saved both my beloved friends. Thank you!
I still use Clean Culture to keep colic at bay for both of them. It's a great internal cleanse.

Ulcers and Digestive Health
CLEAN CULTURE
Some horse owners make the mistake of thinking that only stabled horses can get stomach ulcers. The health of your horses' digestive system is fragile and important no matter what their lifestyle is. Whenever I suspect that one of my horses has a problem with his digestive system I put him straight on a course of CLEAN CULTURE. The results are consistent and impressive.
